DLI-Est

The Death Literacy Index (DLI) measures people's knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to coping with end-of-life and death, as well as their ability to engage in conversations about these topics. The index assesses how well individuals understand available care options, their ability to seek help when needed, awareness of their rights, and their capacity to make informed decisions regarding end-of-life care. It also helps to reveal how social and cultural contexts influence discussions and choices around death. DLI is a valuable tool for policymakers, professionals, and communities in fostering a more compassionate and informed society. DLI was developed in Australia led by Dr. Kerrie Noonan (https://www.deathliteracy.institute/using-the-dli)
